What makes a coconut oil hair growth product shine?
A hair growth oil product that has been cuticle oil, but is also coconut oil is said to be the best option.
“Cuticle oil is made from the oil that’s in the coconut and coconut oil has more oil than any other oil,” says Tony DeLuca, director of product development for BioOil, the UK-based hair growth company.
“The coconut oil makes up the base, and then we have our coconut extract that has the bioactive ingredients that give it that shine.”
DeLuca says that while the oil has the same oil and bioactive ingredient, coconut oil contains many less of the bioactives.
“You can use coconut oil for hair growth for several different purposes, and coconut is one of the most widely used oils in hair care, so that makes it really easy to use,” he says.
BioOil, founded by Tony DeLucent, is a hair growth technology company based in London.

BioEnergy is a British-based cosmetic company that uses bioactive coconut oil to create hair products that are scientifically proven to boost hair growth.

“There are a few ingredients in the oil, so if you’re looking to add coconut oil as an ingredient, it’s the best to add,” says DeLucas.

Coconut oil has been used in the UK for centuries for its ability to increase the hair’s moisture content.
However, the hair growth industry has been struggling to find new products that have a higher concentration of the oil and can boost the hair.
Bioenergy’s cuticle oils are one of only a handful of hair growth products that contain bioactive oils.
BioOil says that the oil contains a combination of essential fatty acids, flavonoids, and antioxidants, which can help to stimulate hair growth in humans.
“It’s the most bio-capable oil that we can find for a reason,” says Dr DeLuces.
“Its a combination that has a high percentage of essential fats, flavanoids, antioxidants, and it also contains bioactive molecules, so it is very, very bio-informative,” he explains.
The BioEnergy product was developed from the research into the bioactivity of coconut oil and its bioactive bioactors.
“What we have found is that bioactive compounds in coconut oil are able to have bioactivity.
Bioactives are very useful, so we’re trying to find more bioactivites and bio-actives that can really help boost the growth of the hair,” says BioEnergy founder and CEO Tony De Luca.

“This is going to be a huge success for us,” says CEO Tony deLuca.
“A lot of people are starting to look at the bio-energies and bioactivity of coconut and they’re starting to be more confident in the ingredients they’re using.”
BioPower is one among a number of companies looking to make the coconut oil industry more sustainable, in a bid to help fight global warming.
“I’ve been working for 20 years to make it a sustainable product, and I think the market is starting to see that the coconut has an incredibly high bio-availability,” says co-founder and CEO Ian O’Connell.
“Coconuts are really easy, you can put them in your bath or shower, you know, just put them out there in the sun,” he added.
“But we also know that the oils in the ocean can degrade over time, so our goal is to try and make the oils that are actually used in our products as bio-durable as possible, and BioEnergy is taking it one step further.”
BioEnergy has been selling cuticle products since 2009.
“In the past 10 years we’ve sold about 100,000 products, and over that time we’ve seen a huge change in the market.
